Cost effective (but discontinued!) stereo viewing

NVIDIA 3DVision 2 Kit

Note: 3DVision has been discontinued by nVidia. DAT/EM users may continue to use 3DVision as long as nVidia drivers continue to work with Windows 10 and 11. If you buy used hardware, be sure it is a "3DVision 2 Kit" (not "3DVision Pro"). The generic product called "Three-D Vision" also works. Contact DAT/EM Support for driver links and setup instructions.

What you need for 3DVision:

NVidia 3DVision 2 Kit (or generic "Three-D Vision") - including one pair of active 3D glasses and USB Emitter

3D Vision-Ready Display - DAT/EM knows the following displays work with a direct Display Port connection: (List updated January 2024)
1. Acer Predator XB272 (27")
2. Acer Predator XB241H (24")
3. Acer Predator XB271HU abmiprz, SKU: UM.HX1AA.A01 (27"), Also known as XB271HUA. It must have the underlined "a" and "A" in the model name and number. (It is not the same as the XB271HU, which does not work!)
4. ASUS ROG-SWIFT-PG278QR (27"). Be sure to get the PG278QR. (The PG278Q does not work, and the "VG" is a different model.)
5. ASUS VG278QR (27"). Turn on ELMB (Extra Low Motion Blur) and turn off FreeSync from the monitor's settings.
6. ASUS MG248QR (24"). Turn on ELMB (Extra Low Motion Blur) and turn off FreeSync from the monitor's settings.
7. ASUS VG248QG (24"). Turn on ELMB and turn off FreeSync from the monitor's settings.
8. ASUS VG248QE (24")
9. BenQ Zowie XL2411P (27")
10. Dell S2716DG or Dell S2716DGR (27"). These are the same monitor, as "R" only means "Resale". This monitor is not available through Dell directly, but can sometimes be found in stock at other online stores as of January 2024. Do not get the 27216DGF, as "F" means "FreeSync" and will not work.

Compatible graphics card

Use an approved model of nVidia Quadro K-, M-, P-, Quadro RTX-series and RTX A-series (or "Ada" for laptops) graphics card with Windows 10 or 11. Contact DAT/EM for the approved model list.

GeForce Graphics Cards are not supported for 3DVision.
