Installation Support

Software does not install.
If software is not removed using Add/Remove Programs or some uninstall routine, the registry can contain information prohibiting the installation or re-installation of software. This could be any software, including Dat/em and Sentinel products.

To correct the problem, it may become necessary to edit the registry. This can be dangerous, so if you're uncomfortable, please contact Dat/em Support or an IT within your organization for assistance.

Search the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall. Search the {bracketed} entries for one whose Display Name represents the software that will not install, such as "Sentinel System Driver" or "Datem Systems International". Delete it. View the Add/Remove Programs list in the Control Panel to verify it is no longer listed. Proceed with the installation of the software as usual.

Downloading Dat/em software from our website.
The easiest way to update your DAT/EM software is to use the webinstall function on DAT/EM's website. Follow the webinstall link for more information. You will need a key number for installation, which changes for each release. Contact Dat/em support for a key if you don’t already have one.
