The following is a brief overview of each of the major software modules from DAT/EM Systems:
o Summit Evolution: The hardware and software module containing the 3D stereo visualization, project management, automatic and manual orientations, tie point measurements, color stereo superimposition, and various tools for handling stereo imagery.
o DAT/EM Capture: The software module for vector collection from the stereo images. Vector information can be collected directly into MicroStation, AutoCAD or ArcGIS. (Having the ability to collect directly into a choice of CAD/GIS packages is one major difference between Summit Evolution and the other systems currently available on the market.) DAT/EM Capture utilizes the capabilities of MicroStation, AutoCAD or ArcGIS in addition to having a number of mapping-specific commands, such as building squaring, spot elevations, cross sections, breakline collection, and mass point editing.
o DAT/EM Orthophoto & Mosaic: Is the software module that allows for generation of digital orthophotos. The mosaicking module allows for automated blending of separate images. Pixels are ‘feathered’ along join lines for seamless coverage.
o Map/Editor: Is a software module that allows for automated editing of compiled maps in AutoCAD or MicroStation. These editing routines can be activated command-by-command or simultaneously over many map files using automatic batch files. Editing commands include rescaling text and symbols for different map scales, filtering or smoothing of vertices along contour lines, and clipping vertices along the edges of map boundaries.
DiAP LICENSE VERIFICATION
The customer must provide verification of existing DiAP licenses. Licenses will be verified by sending DAT/EM a photocopy of their DiAP hardware lock clearly showing each license number or by providing DAT/EM a listing of their existing DiAP license numbers.
